Archiballade Eastern Docks Tour

During the trip we will see a rich variety of architectural highlights that have been realised over the last couple of years as part of a massive re-development plan along this part of IJ shore.
We end the tour in the LLoyds hotel & Cultural Embassy, were Suzanne Oxenaar, one of the pioneers along the IJ-borders will tell about the early beginnings of the urban development. We will have lunch or dinner at the LLoyds as well to round up the tour.
Visit the transformed eastern docklands of Amsterdam
We will take you by boat to the eastern part of the AmsterdamDocks area. In about 4 hours we will visit a number of architectural highlights along the borders of the IJ in an area that has undergone a major transformation over the last years. We will take you also to meet some of the pioneers that have transformed this area in a modern urban living environment.
You meet your guide, that is a professional architect, at the Arcam building for a welcome word and an introduction to the tour. From the Arcam landing pier we will then leave by boat to tour along the shores of the IJ through the Eastern part of the Amsterdam Docklands.

The tour starts at the ARCAM building, will take about 4 hours and includes:
- Guided architecture tour in the Eastern Docks by architect
- Your own tour boat
- Private guide for more back ground and stories about the area
- A visits to one of the pioneers

How do I get there?
Arcam is 10-15 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Optionally we can provide pick up and drop off in Amsterdam.
Food and drinks during the tour
On the boat we will have a some drinks and snack available. We end our tour with a lunch or dinner in the restaurant of Lloyds hotel & cultural embassy.In the restaurant guests have one beverage of choice – white or red wine, beer or a soft drink. Additional beverages must be paid in full by the guest to the restaurant at the time of the visit.
